Privacy Policy

Akrient AI LLC (“Akrient”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your right to privacy, and we are dedicated to securing and protecting any information we have about you.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide Akrient, such as account and contact information, information provided by your organization or identity provider, content and files you choose to submit or connect, and usage, device, and diagnostic information used to operate and protect the service.

Payment and billing information may be handled by payment service providers. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

How we use information

We use information to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Akrient; respond to requests; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and comply with law and contractual obligations.

Google Drive data

When you choose Connect Google Drive, Akrient accesses the folders and files your Google account authorizes for the matter workspace. We use this data to provide requested Akrient features, including importing, displaying, searching, analyzing, and creating document work product in that workspace, and, when you choose to publish, writing updated versions of that work product back to your Drive. We retain imported matter content according to the applicable workspace, account, and customer-agreement settings.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized or foundation AI models. We share Google data only with service providers needed to provide the requested feature and subject to applicable contractual safeguards.

Disconnecting Google Drive removes our stored authorization credentials and we will attempt to revoke the associated Google grant. Imported matter content is handled through the applicable matter or account deletion process. Copies that remain in Google Drive are controlled by the customer and Google Workspace administrators.

The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers in categories such as cloud hosting and storage, identity and access management, document and integration services, AI inference, security and traffic delivery, customer support, and billing and payment processing. These providers may access information only as needed to provide services to us and are subject to appropriate safeguards.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or similar business transaction.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Customer-controlled copies in external services may remain subject to those services' settings and policies.

Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or loss. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You may manage connected services through available product controls and may contact us about privacy requests at admin@akrient.ai. Your organization may also control access and retention under its agreement with Akrient.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date when changes are made.
